Raleigh, NC (January 13, 2012) - Strategic Connections, Inc., a systems contractor specializing in the design and installation of communication, audio-visual, security and power infrastructure, was selected by AMX and Wake Forest University to install the world’s first Enova® DVX-3150HD All-In-One Presentation Switcher. The device was hand-delivered by AMX CEO, Rashid Skaf, and installed by Strategic Connections at the university’s new state-of-the-art MBA distance learning facility located in Charlotte, NC.
The Enova DVX-3150HD is an all-in-one controller, AV matrix switcher, scaler, analog to digital signal converter, twisted pair transmitter and amplifier with built-in professional grade audio processing. It provides a simplified and complete way to manage diverse audio-visual components in conference rooms, auditoriums, classrooms and similar locations.
"It's a pretty big deal to have the CEO of a major international manufacturing company hand deliver a new flagship device. We are honored to be the integrator that installs the very first one," says Tom Rause, Vice President of Strategic Connections.
John Owen, Director of Information Technology at the Schools of Business at Wake Forest University, said of the installation, “Wake Forest strategically invests in AV technologies that provide the necessary functionality and show an ROI. This new solution (Enova DVX-3150HD) also provides the opportunity for us to teach with future-proof, innovative technologies that work. […] The success of this project was due to the long-time relationship of Strategic Connections, Wake Forest and AMX."
Wake Forest University was an early adopter of the product’s predecessor and jumped at the opportunity to receive the first unit of the DVX-3150HD. The device is gaining popularity as a way to unify AV and IT networks due to its simplicity, its ability to be managed remotely, and its ease of installation. According to AMX, the product is ideal for rooms that mix analog and digital sources, multiple displays or rooms that require support for video conferencing. Furthermore, the Enova DVX-3150HD replaces the need for numerous individual components and equipment, which saves space and decreases the time required to configure and program one’s AV system.
