Our services include design engineering and installation for; interior and campus infrastructure cabling, card access and perimeter control systems, closed circuit television monitoring and recording devices, overhead speaker paging systems, audio/visual presentation systems for training rooms and executive conference rooms, high definition plasma screen display systems, video conference systems, projectors, digital signage, new and refurbished telephone systems, multi-site rollouts, fire alarm systems, along with any fully licensed electrical construction services. Additionally, we buy and sell used communications equipment, which allows our customers to essentially “trade-in” their old equipment, giving them a greater degree of budget flexibility.

Serving the southeastern United States, Strategic Connections has grown to be one of the leading providers of high quality communications infrastructure.

Regionally, Strategic Connections has installed voice and data cabling services throughout North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. We have also performed work in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, Texas, Oklahoma, and California. Strategic Connections has provided installation services to companies such as ABB, BD Technologies, Cisco, Credit Suisse, Duke, Fidelity Investments, Hosted Solutions, Martin Marietta, NC State University, NetApp, Pepsi, Progress Energy, IBM, RBC, Revlon, RTI, RDU, Solectron, Sprint, UNC, and hundreds of others.

Strategic Connections was formed by the company’s current President, Scott McLaughlin, and was incorporated on October 1,1998. It has grown in revenues every single year and currently has a full time staff of over 70 employees.

In August of 2009 Strategic Connections acquired former Long Communications Group from OneSource AVSL Division. Founded in 1949 in Winston Salem, NC, Long Communications pioneered the engineering and integration of professional sound and lighting systems for large indoor and outdoor venues including stadiums, arenas, and churches. This acquisition gives Strategic Connections operating offices in Raleigh NC, Winston Salem NC, Charlotte NC, and Myrtle Beach SC.
